Groveport, Blacklick Businesses Get Share Of ‘Safety Dollars’

Two Franklin County Companies are getting a share of state dollars to improve safety.

The Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation awarded safety grants to five Ohio businesses totaling more than $153,000 in October.

Peerless Saw Company, located at 4353 Directors Blvd., in Groveport, is receiving $40,000 to purchase a precision leveling machine to perform saw blade flattening. The company makes custom circular saws.

The BWC is also awarding $12,754 to Buckeye Power Sales Co., Inc., located at 6850 Commerce Court Dr., in Blacklick. Buckeye Power Sales sells, delivers and repairs power generation systems. The money is awarded to purchase 30 hoist systems.

The other grants are going to businesses in Trumbull, Hamilton and Seneca Counties.
