Officials set aside $6 million for two major road projects in Delaware County.

The first project will widen state Route 750 from Sawmill Parkway to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, ThisWeek Community Newspapers reported.

The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission was expected to award $3.5 million to help fund the project, pending the conclusion of a 45 day public comment period that started on Nov. 30.

Just under $3.5 million will go toward widening Polaris Parkway from Interstate 71 to Old Worthington Road.

Both projects will be part of an effort to reduce heavy traffic congestion along the roads.
