Man Pleads Guilty To Escape From Athens Facility

A 28-year-old man pleaded guilty to escaping from a southeast Ohio correctional facility.

Cody R. Schwalbauch of Adelphi entered the new plea at a court appearance on Monday.

Schwalbauch was sentenced to two years in the state penal system to be served along with his current sentence.

Schwalbauch failed to return from a work release at the SEPTA Correctional Facility in Nelsonville in March, according to authorities.
