A Columbus man faces felony drug charges after troopers said that he threw 25 marijuana plants out the window of his vehicle.
According to the Ohio State Highway patrol, Craig E. Sheppard was on his way to Columbus from Michigan when he threw the plants and electric meter used for marijuana cultivation from his vehicle along Interstate 475 in Wood County.
Witnesses told the OSP that they observed Sheppard, 26, throw a trash bag from his vehicle.
Sheppard is charged with tampering with evidence, trafficking in marijuana and possession of criminal tools.
He currently is being held at the Wood County Jail and could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted on all charges.
