Police arrest one person after a brief chase. Learn more.
According to police, one person was arrested and two other people were taken into custody after a short chase that occurred at about 3:30 p.m.
The driver of a pick-up truck fled after officers tried to pull him over near Clime Road, and police in cruisers and a Columbus Division of Police helicopter tried to stop the vehicle.
Officers said that they originally tried to pull the person over after receiving a tip about someone who was wanted for an unknown offense.
The vehicle was stopped after the brief chase in the 2500 block of Stoney Way, where one of three people in the vehicle was arrested. A man and a woman also in the vehicle were taken into custody for questioning.
The names of those involved were not immediately released.
