The Obama and Romney campaigns spent money at a number of local businesses during their run for the White House.
WBNS-10TV looked at just how much money was spent, and it doesn’t even include TV advertising.
In all, the campaigns spent more than a million dollars at local businesses.
Mary Leavitt owns the Flag Lady’s Flag Store, and she was not surprised when the Romney campaign called.
“It's always an honor, and we've done it for both parties,” said Leavitt.
The Romney camp paid the store $665 to fill their political rallies with the red, white and blue.
Presidential candidates spending money on flags is not a shock, but some of their spending may come as a surprise.
Obama’s campaign paid $196 to Domino’s Pizza. Bar Louie made $61 for providing food to Romney’s campaign. Northstar Café also received $48 from the Romney camp.
The report said that the Romney campaign spent nearly $730,000 in Columbus this year. The president’s team spent $250,000.
NetJets was biggest beneficiary of Romney's spending by receiving $638,088.
Meanwhile, Obama paid the Ohio State University nearly $93,000.
All the spending is an extra benefit of being such a swing state.
“Well, I think it's really an honor that they come here and we get this opportunity that a lot of people in other parts of the country don't get,” said Leavitt.
