80 Univ. Of Dayton Students Could Be Charged After Altercation At Gas Station

Eighty students could face criminal charges after an incident at a London, Ohio, gas station

According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, 80 University of Dayton students, who were traveling on two school buses, caused a large disturbance at the Lake Side Plaza gas station, located at 3180 Old Columbus Road, on Nov. 17.

Sheriff’s officials said that they received multiple calls about a large number of people inside of the business.

Deputies reached out the store manager, who said that she needed help.

Upon arrival, deputies said that they say a number of people running in and out of the store and standing on parked vehicles in the parking lot, according to the incident report.

Deputies said that they found a number of open alcohol containers and broken glass inside of the store. They said they also found males urinating throughout the inside of the store and found people climbing on top of fuel pumps outside.

Officials who stated that they were in charge of the 80 students said that they were at the station on the way from Columbus to the University of Dayton. Those who said that they were in charge said that they would pay the business for the damages.

All the students were asked to identify themselves and were photographed.

Some of the 80 could face charges, such as public intoxication and underage alcohol consumption. Deputies said that they would be in touch with the students if they would be charged.
