UPDATED: Friday November 23, 2012 12:34 PM

The countdown to kickoff is on, and Buckeye fans are already gearing up for the showdown against Michigan.

Ohio State football head coach Urban Meyer dropped by French Field House, on The Ohio State University campus, to say hello to fans at "Earle Bruce's Beat Michigan Tailgate."

The Saturday matchup has Buckeye Nation vibrating as the team fights to preserve its perfect record during a bowl-less season.

"This year, with the bowl ban, you know, it's the last game of the season," fan Ed Paserba said. "So, this one's the undefeated season."

Meyer told fans that he is taking the game seriously and has been working hard to prep his players.

"Oh, I am so pumped up," said the fan known as Buck-I-Guy. "All ready and ready to go, I'm telling you man, I'll see you at the 'Shoe. Go Bucks!"
