UPDATED: Thursday November 22, 2012 6:58 AM

Police said that an armed robbery ended with a crash in a North Linden neighborhood overnight Thursday.

Investigators said that two robbers armed with guns stole a vehicle near the intersection of James and Broad streets around midnight.

The driver of the stolen vehicle sped away, crashing along Hiawatha near Weber. The vehicle landed on its side, snapping a utility pole.

“I see a red truck speeding,” witness Kimmie Cecil said. “Twenty cops came down here.”

The crash sent power lines to the ground. One of the suspected robbers was hospitalized, the other fled the scene.

Power crews worked to repair the lines while investigators searched for the second suspected robber and worked to learn a description.

The identities of the two suspected in the robbery were not released. The robbery victims were not injured.
