Investigators said that the Friday morning blaze that swept through a south Columbus home was intentionally set.

Firefighters responded around 2:30 a.m. to the fire in the 400 block of East Innis Avenue, near 8th Street. The flames swept through the duplex and caused extensive damage.

Investigators said that the fire was set on a bottom floor of the building and spread to the attic.

The fire spread to one other unit, damaging both floors of the structure. Firefighters said that the duplex was vacant.
