Police said Michael Maddox, 32, was accused of threatening a store clerk and then stealing beer from a Speedway in July.

Maddox allegedly told a clerk at the Speedway in the 4000 block of East Broad Street that he would kill him if he called police.

The clerk said Maddox patted his stomach, indicating he had a weapon.

Maddox then took two 16-ounce beers from the business, according to police reports.
