City officials planned to step up crime camera coverage in three Columbus neighborhoods.
Dozens of cameras were expected to be placed throughout the South Linden, Hilltop and Livingston Avenue areas.
Each neighborhood will be getting 11 cameras to help authorities police the neighborhoods.
Some cameras are already in place as part of a pilot program started last year. Since the pilot program, Mayor Michael Coleman said that reported crime has dropped from 49 percent to 14 percent in four of five neighborhoods that use the cameras.
