A man was jailed on $5,000 bond on Wednesday after allegedly injuring a police officer.

According to court documents, Michael L. Durrah failed to comply with the request of a Blendon Township officer to sit in the back of his cruiser.

Durrah, 24, failed to give the officer his ID and climb into the back of the cruiser.

Court documents stated that Durrah pulled away from the officer and wrestled him to the ground, causing injuries to the officer’s knees and hand.

Durrah is charged with resisting arrest, failure to comply and obstructing official business.
