Police are waiting on surveillance video before deciding if charges should be filed against a man accused of posing as a police officer in Newark.

Authorities say a woman reported the man showing a badge in a parking lot on Main Street after 8 p.m. on Friday night.

Newark police have located the man and questioned him.

They have not requested charges be filed, though.

A Newark police spokesman told 10TV they want to view surveillance video from a nearby store before they decide on charges.
