Police Search For Armed Man Who Robbed Southwest Side Gas Station

Police are searching for a man who brandished an automatic pistol while robbing a Harrisburg Pike Speedway store.

According to police, a man entered the gas station, located at 1505 Harrisburg Pike on the southwest side, at about 5:40 a.m. and approached the clerk.

The man showed the clerk the gun and demanded money from the register.

The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of money.

The man was described as white, between 35-45, between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall with a brown and gray goatee, black hooded sweatshirt, jeans and bright green cloth gloves.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Columbus Division of Police Robbery Squad at 614-645-4665.
