Police Identify, Search For Woman Accused Of Targeting Seniors At Grocery Stores

Police said that a woman has targeted seniors in at least five area Kroger stores.

According to Central Ohio Crime Stoppers, Lauwanna Anntrell Williams is accused of using credit cards stolen from elderly female victims.

Investigators said that Williams, 33, usually executes the thefts with the assistance of an unknown man, described as balding, in his early 50s, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 180 pounds.

Police said that Williams, has struck in Gahanna, Grove City, Dublin, Upper Arlington and Blendon Township.

According to Crime Stoppers, on Oct. 27, a man violently shoved an 80-year-old woman while she shopped at a Kroger store in Gahanna. He reached into the woman’s purse and stole her wallet, which contained credit cards and personal documents.

The man was then caught on surveillance video at an area Walgreens store, where he purchased Macy’s gift cards.

Two similar incidents were reported to have occurred on Oct. 12 in Grove City and on Oct. 3 in Dublin.

Central Ohio Crime Stoppers was offering up to a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and/or indictment of those involved.
