Lancaster Park in Obetz will soon be getting a $2.9 million upgrade that will include an ice rink.

Village officials say the rink will double as a splash pad in the summer.

The park project will also include a bike path, a large banquet hall and more parking.

The community center will be demolished to make way for a new conference center.

Lancaster Park is a 4.5-acre park located along Lancaster Street.

It currently contains two basketball courts and a playground area with climbing toy, slides, spring toy and a swing set.
