The Ohio State Highway Patrol said a woman lost control of her car and crashed into a tree Monday.
The crash happened around 6 p.m. in the 10,000 block of Millersport Road in Walnut Township in Fairfield County.
Troopers said Melanie A. Kriger, 24, was traveling southbound when she lost control of her Chevrolet Cavalier.
The car went off the right side of the road and crashed into a tree.
Kriger was taken to Fairfield Medical Center where she died.
Troopers said it was unclear what caused Kriger to lose control of her car.
