Genoa Township police warned residents about an alleged incident of child enticement on Monday.
According to police, a group of eight girls reported a man, dressed in all black, following them near a park at the corner of Lynbrook Lane and Willow Bend Way, on Friday between 8 and 9 p.m.
The girls said that the unidentified man asked them their ages and where they lived. They then took off running toward a neighbor's home.
The girls reported that the man followed them in an older model, burgundy vehicle with tinted window and possible damage from crashes. The girls said that the man yelled profanities at them while they ran.
The man then drove off.
Police said that the incident on Friday was the second time the man approached the girls.
According to police, the girls did not report either incident until Saturday.
Police asked that parents discuss "stranger danger" with their children.
