New regulations on cab services will be discussed Monday in the city of Delaware.
The discussion comes after the city’s only taxicab company, Delaware Cab Co., closed its doors in September.
The city's attorney said that revisions to the current regulations would make it easier to obtain a taxi service license in Delaware. An evaluation procedure that would help the city screen companies was also suggested, ThisWeek Community News reported.
Councilman Andrew Brush has questioned the need for such regulations. The council will likely decide tonight whether to amend the city's existing code.
