The Columbus City Council approved a plan to speed up a plan to put solar power cells on Southeast Columbus city buildings.
The ordinance will move forward a project to put the power cells on top of the Groves Road Fleet facility on Groves Road.
The project has been delayed by several issues.
This new effort hopes to help the city get past those issues and let the contractor move forward with the solar panels.
