Alleged Ax-Wielding Robber Arrested After Surveillance Picture Aired On 10TV

Police arrested a man accused of using an ax to rob a gas station.

According to Whitehall police, Tyler J. Ballengee of Enon Valley, Penn., was arrested after a person saw and recognized the man on TV news.

Ballengee is accused of walking into the Shell gas station, located at 4780 E. Broad Street., and pulling an ax from his jacket.

The man allegedly slammed the ax down, shattering the glass on the counter, and demanded money from the cash register.

Ballengee was arrested at a nearby hotel.
