The West Licking Joint Fire District is looking for a new fire chief.
Board members voted 4-1 to terminate Chief David Fulmer, effective immediately.
The board put Fulmer on leave at the end of May and never explained why.
After an investigation, the board determined Fulmer violated the district's Internet and email policy by downloading documents that contained sensitive information, including Social Security numbers.
