Authorities in one Licking County city added a new member to the force.
The Newark Police Department welcomed the newest canine officer Friday. Bear is a three year-old Belgian Malinois.
After months of training, Bear will work with Newark Officer Tim Hansel.
Newark Police officials said that Bear would get to work right away.
