The Ohio state highway patrol says they suspect a drunken driver was responsible for a crash that killed a young woman.

U.S. Route 23 at state Route 315 in Delaware County was closed Thursday night because of the crash.

According to law enforcement officials, four vehicles collided shortly before 9 p.m.

Heidi Hecker, 36, died at the scene. Troopers say she was riding in the back of a Subaru that was rear-ended by a pickup truck driven by 45-year-old Marc Kraft.

Also in the Subaru was 36-year-old Brad Weaver and a 10-month-old baby. Both occupants were rushed to local hospitals.

Investigators say Kraft was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. He was arrested and taken to the Delaware County jail.

No word yet on the conditions of the other people involved in the accident. The crash remains under investigation.

The roads reopened overnight.
