The Fairfield County Sheriff's Office is giving confiscated marijuana growing equipment a second life.

The department said it will donate the items to high schools in the area to use in classes.

The equipment was seized in 2011 during a marijuana cultivation raid.

School officials are being invited to the department Thursday morning to pick up what they may want.
