One person was dead after a shooting near Linden Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, a man, identified as 41-year-old Stephen Wallington, was shot and killed in the 1300 block of East 23rd Avenue shortly before 3 p.m.
Police originally responded to the scene because of a call for a medical run. They found Wallington dead at the scene.
Police said that they thought that the shooting could have resulted from a drug-related robbery.
It was unknown if police had any people of interest in connection with the shooting.
