Newly released numbers show heavy gambling, high payout percentages during first month of the casino in west Columbus.
The Hollywood Casino, located on West Broad Street, did not open to the public until Oct. 8.
By Oct. 31, gamblers had bet more than $28 million at the casinos 108 table games.
The casino paid out 80.8 percent on those bets, and earned revenue of more than $5 million.
Gamblers spent more than $136 million on the more than 3,000 slot machines in the Westside casino.
They received even better payouts, at 90.6 percent.
The casino earned more than $12 million in revenue for that.
The Hollywood Casino Columbus still has to pay the Ohio Casino Commission a portion of their revenue to cover taxes.
The city and the state will also collect taxes on winnings at the casino.
