Republican Steve Stivers will once again represent District 15 in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Prior to his election to the U.S. House of Representatives, Stivers served in the Ohio Senate for six years.
Stivers beat Athens Attorney and democrat Pat Lang for the spot. Lang served on the Athens City Council and as an assistant prosecutor.
Stivers had a 59 to 41 percent lead with 53 percent of the votes counted.
The 15th District leans Republican, covering the Franklin County suburbs and stretching southeast to Athens County.
