Beatty Wins Race In 3rd Congressional District

Tuesday November 6, 2012 9:35 PM
Joyce Beatty

Democrat Joyce Beatty will represent the 3rd district in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Beatty took 72 percent of the vote with 25 percent of precincts reporting, according to unofficial results.

Beatty’s win came of little surprise in the 65-percent democratic district. She beat out Republican Chris Long, Green Party candidate Bob Fitrakis and Libertarian Richard Ehrbar.

The new district is contained to Franklin County, covering most of Columbus, Reynoldsburg, Bexley and Whitehall.
