A $5,000 reward and heightened awareness in the community were not enough to halt a string of arsons in Mansfield.

Investigators were looking into two more vacant house fires, located along Springmill Street, in the city late Saturday night. The blazes bring the number of suspicious structure fires up to 44.

The Mansfield Fire Department said that the buildings fit the profile of the suspicious fires that have plagued the city since summer.

In all, the city has dealt with 66 suspected arsons since June, 46 of which were structures. Most of the targeted buildings were vacant.
