Chillicothe Home Invasion Suspects Arrested Following Chase

Chillicothe Police said two suspects accused in connection with a home invasion were arrested after a brief car chase on Thursday evening.

Authorities said Sherman Stoutmire, 26, allegedly entered a home on Ervin Avenue just after 5 p.m. and demanded pills from the resident.

Officers said they located the suspect based on witness reports and attempted to stop the car he had entered.

Police had to pursue the vehicle two miles before it was stopped.

Stoutmire was arrested along with Raymond Tackett.

Tackett, 31, was charged with fleeing and eluding while Stoutmire faces an aggravated burglary charge.
