Columbus Officer Injured While Trying To Apprehend Suspect

A Columbus Police officer was hurt early Thursday morning while he tried to catch a suspect.

The incident occurred at Sullivant and Cypress avenues.

The officer was forced to use his Taser to apprehend the suspect.

The officer suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital to be checked out.

The names of the officer and suspect have not been released.
