The Ohio Department of Agriculture said there's only a few more days left for exotic animal owners to register with the state.
A new Ohio law requires owners to sign up with the state by November 5.
The department said registration is a requirement for anyone who wishes to receive a permit to keep any wild animals past January 1, 2014. Failure to register and microchip their animals by November 5 will disqualify the owner from permit eligibility.
Forms are available at the department's website.
After January 1, 2014, possession of all dangerous wild animals and restricted snakes will be prohibited unless the individual is exempted under the law or is granted a permit by the department.
