Two men were arrested by Marion police after allegedly attempting to burglarize a house that had just been broken into.

Dwayne Harris, 31, and Curtis Paymon, 28, were arrested early Wednesday morning after allegedly burglarizing a home in the 800 block of Mount Vernon Avenue.

Police responded to a call about the burglary, and while on the phone with the alleged victim, the two men allegedly attempted to burglarize the house again by kicking in the back door.

Officers arrested the two men inside of the home. One of the men was armed with a machete.

According to the victim, the two that were arrested were not the two who robbed the home first.
