Man Wanted For Murder Shoots, Kills Self During Arrest Attempt

A man wanted for a shooting and killing a person on Saturday took his own life on Monday when officers tried to arrest him.

According to investigators, Modais S. Davis, 21, shot and killed himself shortly before 9 p.m. at a home in the 1800 block of Windgate Court.

Davis was wanted in connection with the shooting death of Dominae G. Gaston, 18, who was found dead in the 5200 block of Carbondale Drive.

Dylan M. Stewart, 18, also was found shot in the leg at the scene.

Police arrested Shantina M. Edwards, 21, in connection with the shooting.

Michael A. Jackson II turned himself in in connection with the shooting on Sunday.
