Detectives Arrest Man After Finding 70 Grams Of Heroin Hidden In Slim Jim Container

Detectives arrested a man on Monday afternoon after discovering he had heroin, marijuana, scales and other drug paraphernalia.

According to the Scioto County Sheriff's Office, Carson W. Craft was arrested after officers responded to a building in the 3100 block of Walnut St. for a probation violation for Carson W. Craft Jr. of Portsmouth.

Agents from the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force were called to the scene and found nearly 70 grams of heroin inside of a Slim Jim container. Investigators also found more than $3,500 in cash, a small amount of marijuana,
digital scales and drug paraphernalia.

Agents arrested Marcus Haley, 49, of Dayton and charged him with felony heroin possession.
