Whitehall police said authorities arrested the girlfriend of a murdered Whitehall man in Miami, Fla., over the weekend.

Police said officers picked up Amy Lambert in a car that was reported stolen in Columbus.

Investigators said that Lambert was on her way to meet up with another suspect in the death, Maxamillion Williams.

Williams never made it to Florida because authorities arrested him in Mexico.

Police said both were on the run after authorities issued warrants for their arrest in connection with the murder of Lambert's boyfriend, Michael Payne.

Investigators say Payne was strangled and his body was dumped at a Whitehall apartment complex.

Dartanian M. Hawkins, 19, and Jeffery M. Bagley, 32, were also charged in connection with the death.

Police arrested Bagley and Hawkins last week.
