Columbus Police Officer Injured In Crash

A Columbus police officer was injured in a crash Monday morning just before 8:30 a.m.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Courtright and Refugee Roads which has been shut down as emergency crews work in the area.

Officers said it appeared that a SUV hit the cruiser as it crossed the intersection.

The name of the officer and the extent of her injuries have not yet been released, but they do not appear life threatening. She was taken to the hospital to be checked out.
