The search was on a thief who targeted a north side stereo shop.
Three thieves broke into the Stereo Lab Shop, an electronic repair shop, on Indianola Avenue just south of Morse Road.
Police said that the three people broke through the door of the shop.
Officers were able to catch up with two of the three people after a short chase through a Clintonville neighborhood. A third person got away.
It was unknown what the thieves grabbed.
The names of those involved were not immediately released.
Anyone with information about the burglary was asked to call Columbus police at 614-645-4545.
