Columbus police plan to be on the lookout for drivers under the influence of drugs and alcohol on Friday afternoon.
According to the Columbus Division of Police, officers will conduct a sobriety checkpoint on Cleveland Avenue at Wallcrest Boulevard between noon and 4 p.m.
The advanced notice of the checkpoint serves to deter those from drinking and driving or consuming drugs.
Those who plan to drink should plan for a designated driver or make other arrangements.
