Athens authorities said three people were found with bath salts in their car as they traveled with infant children.

Brad Trotter, 31 of Zanesville and Jessica Earnest, 29, of Mt. Clare, W. Va. and Hope Golden, 23, of Zanesville were stopped on state Route 33 at Circle Hill.

The Athens County Sheriff's Department said Golden was found hiding on the floor of the back seat with three infant children on top of her. The children were ages 4, 3 and 18 months.

Deputies said they found bath salts, meth pipes and other drug paraphernalia in the car.

Golden also told deputies that she had hidden bath salts within her "private area" according to a news release.

Trotter, Golden and Earnest were charged. Children Services responded to the scene and took custody of the children.
