The State Fire Marshal has determined that a fire in a dorm room at Denison University was the result of arson.
According to the Division of State Fire Marshal, officials responded to a report of a fire at Denison’s Beaver Hall at about 8:45 p.m.
The fire was contained to one room and damage was described as minimal. No injuries were reported.
A Blue Ribbon Arson Reward of up to $5,000 was being offered for information leading to the identification of the person or persons responsible for the fire.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Fire Marshal at 1-800-589-2728. Callers can remain anonymous.
