Man Accused Of Striking Sheriff's Deputy

A man is accused of hitting a Franklin County Sheriff's Deputy in the chest and then fighting him.

According to court documents, Teris Devon Phillips refused to comply with an officer and tried to harm him.

The alleged incident occurred at about 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 23 along Jackson Pike.

Phillips appeared in court on Wednesday and was expected to be arraigned later in the week.
