Dublin Police said a pedestrian was not struck as originally reported on Tuesday night.

Although the original call reported that a person was struck, police now confirm that a person was not hit by a car but was just lying in a ditch after becoming ill.

Police had closed Avery Road from Cara Road to Crammer's Crossing Drive while they were investigating. That road is now open.

The police run was less than three miles from where two adults and two children were struck along Avery Road Monday night.
