Columbus police are investigating a triple shooting on the northeast side.

Police were searching for a shooter who shot and injured three people at about 10 p.m. Sunday in the 1000 block of East 14th Avenue.

According to police, Ronntaius D. Hauser, 22, Swayne M. Streeter, 19, and Ronald Johnson, 20, were injured when an unknown person opened fire on the three while they were gathered on the front porch of the 14th Avenue home.

A neighbor said that she heard at least six shots followed by shots from a smaller weapon.

“Anytime that you have violence, whether it’s close by or in any part of the City of Columbus, it can be disturbing,” the resident said.

Police said that one of the shooting victims was found in front of Ray’s Market on Cleveland Avenue.

The three men were taken to area hospitals where they were recovering. At least one person had serious injuries.

Anyone with information about the shooting was asked to call the Columbus Police Assault Squad at 614-645-4141.
