Columbus Police were called to the scene of a fight at Northland High School on Thursday afternoon.
According to school officials, a school resource officer was cut in the head when he attempted to break up a fight between two students.
He called for backup just before 2:30 p.m.
There were no other injuries reported.
The names of those involved were not immediately released.
