Man Pays For Cigarettes, Robs UDF

Police were searching for a man who pulled a gun and demanded money from a UDF clerk Thursday morning.

According to police, a man entered the UDF, located at 327 E. Hudson St., at about 6:30 a.m.

The man asked for a pack of Newport 100s and handed the clerk the money.

The man then pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect then reached into the register and took cash.

A good description of the thief was not immediately available.
