Police were searching for a man accused of kicked an officer Tuesday night.
Police said that the officer was conducting a warrant check on Jeffrey Adams at an apartment complex along the 3000 block of Allegheny Avenue when the confrontation occurred.
When he learned that there was a warrant for his arrest, police said that Adams attempted to assault the officer.
The officer and Adams went to ground before Adams ran away.
The officer suffered minor injuries and was transported for medical attention.
