A child was hospitalized with serious injuries on Monday after he was run over by a riding lawn mower.
According to the Licking County Sheriff's Office, the 4-year-old boy walked over to his neighbor's house around 6 p.m. Monday while his neighbor was mowing the lawn.
Unbeknownst to the neighbor, the child walked behind the mower and was run over as the machine backed up.
The boy was airlifted to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus in critical condition.
